Ident decisions

The plan for my ident was to have a summery theme that will relate to the target audience. Throughout planning for my idents and once I had checked all of my storyboards I changed the time lengths of each frame and also changed the designs of some of the frames. My inital idea was to make the letters of THE GRID come in from the side of the frame but when I started to do this I found it very complicated so I re-adjusted my plan and made 'THE GRID' coming bouncing in on two surfboards and then created it as my personal logo. As I was planning I used Microsoft word to write up my notes whereas when I was creating my animation I used Photoshop then imported it into final cut and then added my music I made on Garage Band.

I need to change my plans due to the fact of some of the frames not fitting in with the other frames so I took them out and changed the length of the other frames to cover the frames I took out. Also I changed the way 'THE GRID' came into the shot whereas my inital idea was confusing so I then re-created the storyboard to fit the changes I have made.

I was pleased with my results as I had spent alot of time planning my work to get to the stage I am at where I changed quite a lot of key features in my ident and created more benificial frames to relate to the target audience. I think my ident meets the brief due to the fact my ident is suitable for the channel 'THE GRID' and also relates to the target audience.

As I was creating my ident I found difficult my time management and also I had difficulty using certain key features on Photoshop such as using the graident tool and also how to lock things together.
