research into Idents

Animation

In this activity i enjoyed this the most because we used paper clips to create a animation and used our imagination to create this animation and also we edited this animation.I liked this peice of work because it was sucssessful and effective they way we used the paper clips and what we done with the paper clips.

WWW: In todays lessom i think the length of our film was good, it was around 15 seconds long which was the time we was set to make it. We managed to import all the pictures we took and save them into the right folder. Also we put sound effect in our thunder and rain which worked well. We also exported the video successful.

EBI: I thought that in some shots there were shadows which showed up becasue of where we were standing. And in some my elbows got in the way which means we had to go back and delete them and do them again, but this was hard to get the paper clips in the right place. And sometimes the camera moved which made the background jump around which made it look less like a flowing video.

In the lesson i learnt alot of things. I learnt how to import pictures to iPhoto how to save them into a folder. Then i learnt how to put them into imovie and remove the ken burns effect. I know noe that there is alot of shots in a second when making a animation around 24-25. Then i learnt how to put sound effects in such as the thunder and rain. and finally how to export a video and save it in the folder

WWW and EBI

WWW: Got a good range of different clips to promote to the audience and also to ingage with them what the advert is trying to get across.

WWW: We cut down each clip so it dont run over the 10second song duration.

WWW: Good use of camera shots, ahgles and hights.

WWW: Had a good amount of pictures also managed to complete the task on time and all the shots were the right way up.

EBI: Some of the shots we took didnt make sense.

EBI: Some shots should of been faster in duration.

EBI: Should of ended the advert with a title to annocnce the price and how long the magazine was out for.

EBI: If we was able to take more clips to vairy our clips from being the same.

We captured the film well by taking many different photos of shoes, clothes, bags and other accessories. We also managed to get the same length timing of each clip and also the pictures moved fluently as they fastly changed.

Photo Montage

A 'Photo Montage' is a collection of pictures put together to create a short clip. In a 'Continual Edit' the shots have to look as if they were filmed in the same place and the same day, where as in a 'Photo Montage' it is non-linear and non-chronological. In this project, we were asked to recreate the 'Look' Photo Montage advert. We took around about 50 pictures, uploaded and imported them to iPhoto and transported to iMovie. We had to make sure that all of the frames were the same length and short enough to match to the length of the song. After, we downloaded the same music from the original advert, and combined the video with the song.

I learned the most from this video because i found a way to change the duration of the time with out cutting each clip everytime also i enjoyed the randomness of the video as we got some very wilde and funky shots.

10 Shot Story

I am most proud of this peice because the way we edited and the camera shots and angles are very effective. I also enjoyed this clips because we took our time with this and storyboarded each clip we wanted to do and how we was going to do it. we also added music to create some tension as the person picked up the wallet.

Telling Stories

match on action: this is match on action because the lady is the main focus of the shot because where she is dealing out the cards. the shot is effective because it shows most of the scene and the 2 men that she is dealing cards to. also in a match on action shot the camera will focus on looking straight at the person who is dealing the cards or doing some formal movement and then the camera will move behind them so you can she the reaction or the other actors on the scene.
